* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Carroll and Floyd.
* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 856 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Deepwater Creek, Grassy Creek, Burks Fork, Big Reed Island Creek, Greasy Creek, Brannon Branch, Laurel Fork and Island Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area.
