* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 4 PM this afternoon to 9 AM EDT Thursday. For the Gale Watch, from Thursday morning through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels.
