* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 100.
* WHERE...In New York, Eastern Clinton and Eastern Essex Counties. In Vermont, Western Addison, Grand Isle, Western Chittenden, Western Franklin, Eastern Windsor, and Western Rutland Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest heat index values will occur between 1 PM and 5 PM today. This is the third consecutive day of unusually hot conditions. As such, impacts will remain higher despite the slightly lower temperatures and heat index values.
