The National Weather Service in Phoenix has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Maricopa County in south central Arizona... Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 245 AM MST.

* At 1229 AM MST, gauge reports indicated thunderstorm runoff continuing to travel downstream within Vekol Wash. A streamflow gauge at I-8 measured a flow of 1100 cfs at 12:10 AM MST and flow was declining. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Ak-Chin Indian Community and Freeman.
