* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Carroll and Patrick.
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 655 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Johnson Creek, Doe Run Creek, Brushy Fork, Fall Creek, Dan River, Archies Creek, Ararat River and Birds Branch.
