The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Bernalillo County in central New Mexico...

* Until 745 PM MDT.

* At 438 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tijeras, Cedar Crest, Sedillo and Cedro.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 174 and 183.
