Special Weather Statement

A strong low southeast of Hooper Bay will provide southeasterly winds from Thursday to Saturday. This will likely result in minor erosion on the Bay side of Hooper Bay as well as minor water rises to around 1 to 2 feet above the normal high tide line with each high tide cycle from Thursday afternoon to Saturday morning. Strongest wind gusts, up to 55 mph are expected to occur between 7 AM and 10 PM Thursday. There may be a gust to 60 mph but it would be infrequent. After 10 PM Thursday, winds will mainly weaken and be less than 50 mph Friday and Saturday.
