* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...East Central Nuckolls County in south central Nebraska... Northern Thayer County in south central Nebraska...
* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 311 PM CDT, automated river gauges and ground-truth reports from observers indicated that minor flooding continued along the Little Blue River and Big Sandy Creek, as a result of heavy rainfall over the last few days. At 215 PM CDT, a gauge along the Little Blue River at Hebron reported a stage of 14.6 feet, which was 1.1 feet above minor flood stage of 13.5 feet. As a result, minor flooding continues both upstream and downstream of Hebron along the Little Blue through Thayer County. In addition, at 245 PM CDT, a gauge along the Big Sandy Creek near Alexandria reported a stage of 14.6 feet, just above moderate flood stage of 14.5 feet. As a result, at least minor flooding continues along the Big Sandy through northeastern Thayer County, including near Highway 53 just south of Alexandria. Going forward, water levels along the Little Blue River and Big Sandy Creek are expected to very slow fall over the next 24 hours, but could remain above minor flood stage until at least sometime Friday. However, exact timing of when they will fall below flood stage is a bit uncertain as upstream water will continue feeding into the area from the west. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Dry Creek, South Fork Big Sandy Creek, Little Blue River, Little Sandy Creek, Oak Creek, Walnut Creek, Elk Creek, Turtle Creek, Spring Creek, Dry Sandy Creek and Big Sandy Creek. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Hebron, Davenport, Bruning, Alexandria, Carleton, Oak and Belvidere. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
