...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois...
Wabash River from Lafayette to Riverton.
Wildcat Creek near Lafayette.
.Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 4 inches across much of the area is bringing minor lowland flooding to most of the Wabash River basin. The Wabash should crest by Friday morning at Lafayette and Terre Haute on Saturday. Flooding may redevelop on the upper Wabash or be extended at downriver points by moderate to heavy rainfall that is expected Sunday into Monday which is not included in the current forecasts.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.
* WHEN...Until Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Park in southern Montezuma begins to flood. Higher bottomlands begin to flood. Water backs up most local tributaries. River water is at the top of some private levees. Lowest county roads begin to flood. Parke CR 75 W begins to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 15.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:45 AM EDT Thursday was 15.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.3 feet tomorrow evening.
