.Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 4 inches across much of the area is bringing minor lowland flooding to most of the Wabash River basin. The Wabash should crest by Friday morning at Lafayette and Terre Haute on Saturday. Flooding may redevelop on the upper Wabash or be extended at downriver points by moderate to heavy rainfall that is expected Sunday into Monday which is not included in the current forecasts.

* WHEN...From this evening to Thursday, June 25.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding is in progress. High water surrounds many river cabins. Access to most river cabins is by boat only. Levees begin to protect farmland. Extensive flooding of Leaverton Park occurs in Palestine, Illinois.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:00 PM EDT Thursday /11:00 AM CDT Thursday/ the stage was 13.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 17.7 feet early Monday afternoon.
