Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County.
Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Residential structures threatened along Russell Road between the river and Kilbourne Road. Industrial parking lots threatened along Kilbourne Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM CDT Thursday was 9.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to continue a gradual fall through next week, potentially falling below flood stage midweek. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
