The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northern Shelby County in central Indiana...

* Until 1000 AM EDT.

* At 524 AM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
