French Broad River At at Pearson Bridge Rd, 2 NW Asheville affecting Buncombe County.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...French Broad River at at Pearson Bridge Rd, 2 NW Asheville.
* WHEN...From this morning to Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 6.5 feet, Action Stage. The French Broad River is exceeding its banks and beginning to flood low-lying areas, including the Woodfin Riverside Park, the floodplain adjacent to Craggy Dam Reservoir, Carrier Park, and French Broad River Park.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 6.0 feet and rising - Bankfull stage is 6.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 6.6 to 7.0 feet. - Action stage is 6.5 feet. - Flood stage is 9.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
