For the following areas... Coastal waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Mexico Beach out 20 NM... St. Andrews Bay Waterways...
At 802 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Mid Bay Bridge to 16 nm north of Mexico Beach, moving south at 10 knots. An ambient station (Merrick) just west of Lynn Haven gusted to 41 knots at 749 PM CDT.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots...suddenly higher waves...frequent lightning...and heavy downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life jackets.
Locations impacted include... Panama City Beach, Laguna Beach, Mexico Beach, Sandestin, Miramar Beach, and Santa Rosa Beach.
