* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and elevated surf. Strong, frequent rip currents are likely along some beaches, especially exposed south to southwest facing beaches along the Central Coast.

* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches, Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches, Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast, Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast, and Lake Casitas.

* WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore.
