Rio Grande At El Paso affecting El Paso County.
For the Rio Grande...including El Paso...Minor flooding is forecast to continue through the day.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Rio Grande at El Paso.
* WHEN...Until late tonight.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding is occurring on area roads which has lead to road closures. Walking paths and parks located between the Rio Grande levees will be inundated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:05 AM MDT Thursday the stage was 9.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:05 AM MDT Thursday was 9.7 feet. The river will continue to slowly recede through the next few days. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this evening and continue falling to 3.4 feet Monday evening. - Flood stage is 8.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.3 feet on 08/01/2006. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
