The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for... Coastal waters from Pensacola FL to Pascagoula MS out 20 NM... Waters from Pensacola FL to Pascagoula MS from 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 845 AM CDT.

* At 721 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 7 nm east of Farewell Buoy to 26 nm south of Gulf Shores Beach to 35 nm south of Sand Island Lighthouse, moving east at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include... Fort Morgan, Sand Island Lighthouse, and Farewell Buoy.
