Wabash River at Covington.

Wabash River at Lafayette.

Wabash River at Terre Haute.

Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.

Wabash River at Riverton.

.Recent periods of heavy rainfall have led to minor flooding along the Wabash River near Montezuma, Covington, Lafayette, Terre Haute, Hutsonville, and Riverton. Flooding will persist through next week in some locations.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Riverton.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon to Saturday, August 22.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding is in progress. High water surrounds many river cabins. Access to most river cabins is by boat only. Levees begin to protect farmland. Extensive flooding of Leaverton Park occurs in Palestine, Illinois.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:00 AM EDT Friday /4:00 AM CDT Friday/ the stage was 5.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 17.4 feet Wednesday evening.
