The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Clinton County in central Indiana... Southwestern Howard County in central Indiana... Western Tipton County in central Indiana...

* Until 1145 PM EDT.

* At 639 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Kokomo, Tipton, Russiaville, Sharpsville, Michigantown, Kempton and Indian Heights.

Kokomo Creek, Walnut Fork, Turkey Creek, South Fork Wildcat Creek, Swamp Creek, Dixon Creek, Little Wildcat Creek, Honey Creek, North Creek, Sugar Creek, West Honey Creek, Buck Creek, Wildcat Creek, Middle Fork Wildcat Creek, Cicero Creek, Kilmore Creek, East Fork Little Wildcat Creek, Little Cicero Creek, Prairie Creek, Lynn Run, Shanty Creek and Campbells Run.
