Details

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Hudson and Union and southeast New York, including the following counties, Kings (Brooklyn) and Richmond (Staten Island).
* WHEN...Until 415 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 104 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms across Middlesex county NJ producing rainfall rates of up to 2"/hr. This will cause urban and small stream flooding once it moves into the area. - Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, locally 3" possible, over portions of the area through 4pm. This rain will result in minor to moderate flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Flatbush, Bayonne, Plainfield, Linden, Coney Island, Todt Hill, Crown Heights, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Huguenot, Canarsie, Bay Ridge, Port Richmond, Brooklyn Heights, Tottenville, Clark, Tompkinsville, Oakwood, Bensonhurst, Park Slope and Sheepshead Bay. - This includes the following Event Locations...
