* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Large surf and dangerous rip currents along west-facing reefs will linger longer than previously anticipated. After tonight, the elevated westerly swell will diminish, allowing surf to drop below advisory levels and the rip current risk to drop to moderate.
