Flood Warning

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...

Wabash River from Montezuma through Mount Carmel.

White River from Edwardsport through Hazleton.

.Minor flooding continues along the White River from Edwardsport downriver with the crest already past Hazleton. Minor flooding also continues on the Wabash River from Montezuma down to Mount Carmel with the crest approaching Vincennes. Rain amounts with scattered storms Wednesday evening are not expected to impact main stem river levels.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Edwardsport.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 18.6 feet, INDOT may close SR 358 between SR 67 at Edwardsport to SR 57 at Plainville due to flooding. SR 358 floods on the east side of the river between the levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 AM EDT /6:00 AM CDT/ Tuesday the stage was 18.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 AM EDT /6:00 AM CDT/ Tuesday was 20.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 5.4 feet Thursday, September 03. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
