At 616 PM MDT, While rainfall rates are decreasing, between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen, and this will keep a high risk of flash flooding. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Thoreau, Coolidge, Fort Wingate, Church Rock, Mariano Lake, Pinedale and Red Rock.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 29 and 56.
