Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau.

.Recent heavy rainfall in northern portions of the river basin continues to cause rises on the Mississippi River. At Cape Girardeau, the river will rise above flood stage tonight, and crest a half foot above flood stage early Friday.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau.

* WHEN...From late tonight to late Saturday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 31.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 32.5 feet Friday morning.
