At 847 AM CDT...A strong thunderstorm was located near Fort Walton Liberty Ship Reef, or 8 nm southwest of Mary Esther...moving east at 15 knots.
Locations impacted include... Mary Esther, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre Beach, Oriskany Reef, Fort Walton Liberty Ship Reef, Destin, East Pass At Destin, Okaloosa Pier, Mid Bay Bridge, and southern West Choctawhatchee Bay.
The primary threats from this storm are wind gusts up to 30 knots... locally higher waves...and heavy downpours. Boaters should consider seeking safe harbor until this storm has passed.
