* Flash Flood Warning for... Southwestern Carter County in east Tennessee... Northeastern Greene County in east Tennessee... East Central Hawkins County in east Tennessee... Unicoi County in east Tennessee... Washington County in east Tennessee...

* Until 800 PM EDT.

* At 606 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Johnson City, Erwin, Jonesborough, Midway, Banner Hill, Pine Crest, Unicoi, Baileyton and Telford.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 26 in Tennessee between mile markers 26 and 44. Interstate 81 in Tennessee between mile markers 34 and 51.
