At 525 PM MST /625 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain earlier over southwest Utah including the Paria River and Buckskin Gulch resulted in between 0.50 and 1.00 inches of rainfall. A river gage along the Paria River just north of the Arizona/Utah border indicated a 2 foot rise. In addition, flow from Buckskin Gulch will contribute to flash flooding along the Paria River. As a Result, flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Paria River.
