As much as 5 to 8 inches of rain fell this morning. Road flooding could still be ongoing.
* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...Northwestern Hancock County in southern Mississippi... Southwestern Pearl River County in southern Mississippi...
* WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It will take a few hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 118 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding in numerous roads in Picayune and surrounding areas are flooded. Some vehicles were stalled.
