.Repeating rounds of showers and thunderstorms over the past 72 hours, ending at 8 AM this morning, has brought copious rainfall to eastern, northern central, and much of western Indiana. Maximum radar estimates across a swath from Clinton and Howard counties north of Indianapolis, east-southeast and southeast to Randolph and Decatur counties, show roughly six to 12.5 inches of rain has fallen! This has led to widespread flooding, some of it historic.
Forecasts for the river levels to exceed flood stage have been consistent near Rivervale, Newberry , and Edwardsport.

* WHERE...White River at Newberry.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon to Sunday, August 23.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Flood waters block access and begins to surround about 5 to 10 river cabins on south side of the river just southwest of Newberry.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 5.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Sunday afternoon to a crest of 17.0 feet early Thursday afternoon.
