At 1012 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Tularosa, moving southwest at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Tularosa, Alamogordo, La Luz, and Boles Acres.
This includes the following highways... Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 211 and 212. Highway 54 in New Mexico between mile markers 62 and 87.
