For the following areas... Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage MN beyond 5NM... Outer Apostle Islands Beyond 5 NM from Mainland...

At 729 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 nm northwest of Devils Island, or 39 nm west of The Western Lake Superior Buoy, moving southeast at 25 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage.

Locations impacted include... South Twin Island, North Twin Island, Devils Island, and Rocky Island.
