The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for... Coastal waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach SC out 20 NM...

* Until 230 PM EDT.

* At 128 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line from over Capers Island Buoy to over Charleston Sixty, moving southeast at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include... Capers Reef, Rattlesnake Shoal, Charleston Nearshore Reef, Joe Shuford Reef, Bull Breakers, Capers Island Buoy, Charleston Sixty, Air Force Reef and Charleston Coastal Anglers.
