At 441 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Kuhns, or 11 miles northeast of Piney Green, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include... Havelock, Morehead City, Newport, Stella, Swansboro, Cape Carteret, Pine Knoll Shores, Harlowe, Maysville, Silverdale, Broad Creek, Wildwood, Kuhns, Peletier, Great Neck, Bogue, North Harlowe, Cherry Branch Ferry Terminal, Oceana Pier, and Fort Macon State Park.
