...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers...
Whitewater River at Brookville.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Whitewater River at Brookville.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning to Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, This stage will exceed the FEMA 1 percent flood. Flooding occurs along the river in southern Fayette and northern Franklin Counties, including in Alpine, Nulltown and Laurel. In Connersville, homes between Dora Avenue and the river on the east side of Connersville flood, as well as along Grand Avenue on the south side. Structures flooded in Laurel are mainly along and east of North Franklin Street, with homes south of Commerce Street also flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 21.1 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
