Details

At 533 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... North Augusta, Augusta, Fort Gordon, Clearwater, Belvedere, Hephzibah, South Augusta, Glendale, Daniel Field, Summerville, Midtown, Augusta Mall, Augusta Regional Airport, Augusta National Golf Club, Village Plaza Shopping Center, McBean, Gloverville and Burnettown.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and 23. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 7. Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 195 and 201. Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 15.
