The developing monsoon pattern and Invest 92W (now rated as medium for tropical cyclone development, meaning tropical cyclone development is likely, but expected to occur beyond 24 hours), has moved further north than previously expected. In doing so, the southwesterly inflow has moved further to the west of Palau and Yap quicker than anticipated. While showers remain in the area, the threat of downpours and near-gale gusts have fallen off. Conditions are expected to continue to improve as 92W moves further away.
