At 307 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over South Salt Lake, or near Salt Lake City, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include... Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Murray, Taylorsville, South Salt Lake, Millcreek, Canyon Rim, East Millcreek, Mount Olympus, Emigration Canyon, Sugarhouse, and University Of Utah.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 301 and 312. Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 118 and 132.
