At 429 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles northwest of Okanogan, or 13 miles west of Omak, moving east at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Omak, Riverside, and Conconully.
This includes U.S. Highway 97 in Washington between mile markers 292 and 293, and between mile markers 299 and 306.
The torrential rain is likely to remain south of Conconully over the higher terrain however outflow winds up to 35 mph will be possible northeast and east of the storm along the Highway 97 corridor.
