* WHAT...West winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts to 35 kt and seas 8 to 11 feet expected.

* WHERE...Marianas Coastal Waters.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM ChST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Fresh to strong westerlies with near-gale to gale force gusts will prevail across the Marianas through early Wednesday, especially near heavier showers as a westerly monsoon surge continues. Additionally, distant Typhoon Dolphin (12W) is generating a long-period north to northeast swell that is moving through the Marianas, which will continue shift north over the next day or so, then northwest. Meanwhile, the developing monsoon pattern will lead to increasing west to southwest swell over the coming days. The combination of these elevated swells and wind waves will keep seas at around 10 feet across the coastal waters, maintaining hazardous sea conditions for much of this week.
