Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...West Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 400 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 102 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain could result in flash flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Upper Colonias, Lower Colonias and North San Ysidro. - Hazardous water levels are expected in Cow Creek, Elk Creek, Rito de la Osha, and Rito Quemazon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
