* WHAT...For the Lake Wind Advisory, southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 30 to 35 mph. Wave heights of 1 to 3 feet for Lake Tahoe. For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph below 7000 feet and ridgetop winds gusting over 80 mph at times. Wave heights of 2 to 4 feet for Lake Tahoe.

* WHERE...For the Lake Wind Advisory, Lake Tahoe and Independence Lake. For the Wind Advisory, Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...For the Lake Wind Advisory, from 2 PM this afternoon to 8 PM PDT this evening. For the Wind Advisory, from 11 AM Saturday to 2 AM PDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will increase Saturday morning and afternoon, with the strongest winds expected Saturday evening. Winds will very slowly decrease late Saturday night into early Sunday morning behind the cold front.
