Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following counties, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester.

* WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1141 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New City, Ossining, Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Haverstraw, Tarrytown, Mount Kisco, Suffern, Mahopac, Monroe, Walden, Nyack, West Point, Tappan, Sloatsburg, Cold Spring, New Windsor, Pearl River and Hawthorne. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
