Special Weather Statement

At 209 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Alligator Lake to near Willard. Movement was northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include... New Bern, Kinston, Washington, Wallace, Warsaw, River Road, Trent Woods, River Bend, Grifton, Phillips Crossroads, Kornegay, Belhaven, Rose Hill, Richlands, Sladesville, Ransomville, Ponzer, Scranton, Pinetown, and Pungo.
