Flash Flood Warning

At 439 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.8 and 1.7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... South Tucson.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 19 between mile markers 61 and 63. Route 86 near mile marker 171. Interstate 10 between mile markers 260 and 265.

This includes the following streams and drainages... West Branch Santa Cruz River, Chico, Arroyo and Santa Cruz River.
