Severe Thunderstorm Warning

At 750 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Egan to near Cade to Butte La Rose, moving south at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. A wind gust of 57 mph was recently recorded at Lafayette Regional Airport.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include... Lafayette, Crowley, Catahoula, Scott, Breaux Bridge, Rayne, Carencro, St. Martinville, Iota, Mermentau, Evangeline, Broussard, Youngsville, Duson, Henderson, Butte La Rose, Maxie, Mire, Egan, and Cade.
