...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...
Rio Grande At El Paso affecting El Paso County.
For the Rio Grande...including El Paso...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Rio Grande at El Paso.
* WHEN...Until Thursday evening.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding will occur on Paisano Drive near Executive Center which may lead to road closures. Walking paths and parks located between the Rio Grande levees will become inundated. No other major flooding impacts are expected due to levee protection within the warning area.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:05 PM MDT Wednesday the stage was 8.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:05 PM MDT Wednesday was 8.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.9 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 8.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.9 feet on 09/14/1958. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
