At 516 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 5 NM east of Saint Helena Sound, moving southeast at 5 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 34 knots.
SOURCE...Buoy. At 440 PM EDT, the NWS observation site at Edisto Beach State Park measured a 35 knot wind gust.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include... Edisto Forty Reef, Edisto Sixty Reef, N. Edisto Nearshore Reef, Deveaux Bank, Kiawah Reef, Saint Helena Sound and Pelican Bank.
