At 1001 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southwest of Tarboro, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include... Rocky Mount, Wilson, Elm City, Sharpsburg, Pinetops, Macclesfield, Tar River Reservoir, Willbanks, New Hope, and Kingsboro.

This includes NC Highway 264 Mile Marker 50 and near Mile Marker 53.
