At 1053 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Wilmington, Newark, West Chester, Chester, Phoenixville, Yeadon, Westtown, Folcroft, Swarthmore, Elsmere, Arden and Cheyney.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 476 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 12. Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania near mile marker 2...and between mile markers 6 and 10. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 305 and 323.
