At 141 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Saltillo, or 7 miles northeast of Tupelo, moving south at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Tupelo, Fulton, Baldwyn, Verona, Tombigbee State Park, Saltillo, Guntown, Shannon, Plantersville, Mantachie, New Harmony, Pratts Friendship, Blair, Clay, Sherman, Marietta, Blue Springs, Abney, Mooreville, and Ballardsville.
This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 71 and 109.
